The Chelsea Antiques Fair heads to the Chelsea Town Hall for its accessible boutique-style event, supporting local charity Children’s Hospital Trust Fund
The Chelsea Antiques Fair has announced the dates for the Spring Fair, returning to the charming Chelsea Old Town Hall from Wednesday 18 to Sunday 22 March 2015, coinciding with the British Antique Dealers’ Association’s Antiques and Art Fair.
Accommodating more exhibitors than ever before, the five-day boutique-style Spring Fair will offer a wider variety of objects and will have more late night openings to allow after-work browsing. Connoisseurs as well as rookie collectors are welcome to peruse the treasures, with price tags ranging from an affordable £50 to exquisite pieces worth thousands of pounds.
Around 40 specialist dealers have been chosen for their expertise in fine art, antiques and design and the age of pieces ranges from fossils dating back millions of years to early 20th-century decorative art.
To enhance accessibility and the overall experience, there will be guided tours around the Fair, which will encourage visitors to chat to dealers and learn more about their specialities as well as learn insider tips on collecting art and antiques.
And all in the name of a good cause, as the Fair will once more be supporting the local charity Children’s Hospital Trust Fund, supporting the 75,000 babies, children and their families who come to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital every year by funding state of the art medical and surgical equipment which wouldn’t otherwise be available in the hospital.
