Forming part of the World Heritage Coast, Weymouth is home to a host of tourist attractions including the Sea Life Park and Nothe Fort, a Victorian fortress at the entrance to the harbour filled with fascinating World War II memorabilia, as well as the world famous Chesil Beach and Portland Castle. The sailing events of the London 2012 Olympic Games will be held at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.
