Set in the medieval wool town of Lavenham, the striking 15th-century Swan Hotel & Spa, a member of Pride of Britain Hotels, is a luxurious retreat in the heart of sleepy Suffolk. Light meals are also offered in the Airmen’s Bar, which is full of Second World War memorabilia from the US Army Airforce, who were stationed nearby. On warmer days, lunch, afternoon tea or cocktails are served in the private courtyard and gardens – the perfect setting in which to relax after your exploration of Lavenham’s heritage buildings.
