Blenheim palace is the birthplace of Winston Churchill

We’re excited to announce that the winner of the Great British Holiday Competition 2023 is Eileen Young, who was picked from many thousands of entrants

Eileen wins the holiday of a lifetime, including a luxury one-night stay at Middle Eight, a chic hotel set in bustling Covent Garden, whose streets are lined with some of the capital’s best shops and restaurants, and a night at The Guardsman, an exclusive boutique hotel just a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace.

While enjoying the sites and soaking up the atmosphere of London, Eileen and their chosen guest will be treated to a Michellin-starred dinner at Galvin La Chapelle and after-dinner cocktails at The View from the Shard, as well as tickets to Hampton Court Palace and the Tower of London, and tickets to a top West End show (supplied by www.redletterdays.co.uk/).

The next leg of this Great British trip takes place in the Cotswolds where Eileen and their guest will spend their days exploring honey-hued towns, winding country lanes and historic stately homes. They will enjoy a two-night stay at Minster Mill, a centuries-old former mill house set in enchanting riverside gardens in the picturesque Windrush valley, followed by two nights at The Feathered Nest, an idyllic country inn within easy reach of the quaint towns of Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water.

Annual passes to Blenheim Palace, one of Britain’s finest stately homes and the birthplace of Winston Churchill, are the cherry on the cake of this fantastic prize.
