One lucky reader and their guest will win a two-night stay at the historic Golden Lion, a 17th-century coaching inn nestled in the quaintvillage of Settle in picturesque Ribblesdale.

Our winners will be treated to a welcome drink on arrival, an indulgent breakfast each morning of their stay, and on one night they’ll enjoy a three-course dinner of seasonal, locally sourced dishes, packed full of flavour.

Enjoy the finest Thwaites cask ales or decadent cocktails in one of the cosy dining areas and tables overlooking Settle’s picturesque market street.

Settle is a delight to explore, with artisan shops and cafés and more than 70 Grade II listed buildings. And of course, the rolling Dales are right on your doorstep. Nearby are the picture-perfect village of Malham, the spectacular Malham Cove – a huge limestone amphitheatre with views for miles around – and the landmark Ribblehead Viaduct.

Closing date for entries is 23:59pm GMT on 15 January 2024. The prize must be taken by 1 May 2024. The prize is for two adults sharing a Character Room for two nights (Sun-Thurs), and includes a welcome drink on arrival, breakfast each morning, and a three-course meal with a bottle of house wine to share on one evening. The prize is subject to availability, excludes 14 February 2024, and is nontransferable. Travel not included.
