Do you dream of a good night’s sleep? Turn your dreams into a reality, by exploring how Swedish design can elevate your bedroom with Carpe Diem Beds.
Characterised by minimalism and comfort, Swedish design provides a template that is timeless. Known for muted colour palettes there are an abundance of combinations when considering the design of your bedroom. Drawing upon natural elements, that emulate Sweden’s vastly rich landscapes, and translating through design, can give your room a look that is the vision of Swedish luxury.
An ode to the Swedish coastal islands, Carpe Diem Beds combines a deep understanding of the human anatomy and sleep. Founder Börje Thuleskar’s eureka moment came when travelling to Kornö Island at the West Coast of Sweden and laying his picnic blanket over a bed of heather.
The weightlessness he felt, is what spurred Börje to create a bed that mimicked the feeling. Bedrooms essentially are an oasis for escapism, it is said humans spend a third of their lives sleeping, so there is no reason to compromise when designing a bedroom.
Once in the bed, you should be able to switch off your mind, and merely listen to your body. Every detail does not go unnoticed during design consultations. With an array of legs, headboards, 36 fabrics and functions, these beds are designed to be as beautiful to look at as they are to sleep in.
Carpe Diem Beds offers a full bedroom design experience so that you can create your individual sanctuary where you can unwind. As beautiful as they are innovative, these beds are handmade to order and are fully customisable to your needs, from beautiful nature-inspired fabrics from the Designers Guild and The Romo Group to an array of bed linen, bedroom accessories, and furniture.
The Rörö bed frame is a low and modern bedframe with integrated headboard for a minimalistic and modern look in your bedroom. The bed frame is handmade in Sweden and has a robust wood frame and a slatted base made of Nordic wood, yet the invisible 5cm bed legs give the bed frame an elegant floating effect. Rörö is offered in two sizes fitting a 160x200cm or 180x200cm mattress.
You can select a fabric and colour to have Rörö match your interior design preferences. When you purchase a bed, you can select any one of the 16 complimentary fabrics that are part of the Classic Collection. Should you wish, you can also pick one of the 18 different fabrics in the Exclusive Collection, at an additional cost. The fabrics in Carpe Diem Beds’ Classic Collection are all Nordic Eco-labelled.
If you have been contemplating a bedroom upgrade, Carpe Diem invites you to spend time and unwind in either the Marylebone flagship or the newly opened Harrods concession. For the complete experience, it is recommended one or two hours are set aside. If you are still unable to decide, sleep sessions are available.
