The ice is cut, the skates are sharp and the team at the Natural History Museum’s outdoor ice rink are ready to welcome you to a truly enchanting skating experience in the heart of London. Now in its eighth year, the ice rink, supported by Starbucks and their festive Red Cup offering, is back in the stunning setting of the Museum from today – Tuesday 2 November – until Sunday 6 January 2013.

Set within the Museum’s breathtaking grounds, the ice rink is a charming winter wonderland in the heart of the city. Attracting beginners and advanced skaters alike, as well as those simply wanting to bask in the festive atmosphere, the impressive 1,000-square-metre ice rink is a London must-see during winter. For the first time this year, the ice rink will have a spectacular Christmas tree in the middle of the rink, sourced from the Windsor Estate. With 76,000 twinkling fairy lights decorating the surrounding tall trees and framed by a world-renowned landmark, the ice rink also features a beautiful fairground carousel and a junior rink for younger skaters.
