With Britain’s most popular period drama in its sixth and final season, Downton Abbey fans can see the series off in style with an exclusive helicopter tour of the iconic set direct from central London, courtesy of London Helicopter.

Until December 2015, fans of the historic series can leave London’s hurly-burly behind for the more genteel locale of Highclere Castle in west Berkshire, the ‘real’ Downton Abbey.

Guests will be made to feel like Lord and Lady Grantham as they inspect the extensive estate before soaring over the instantly recognisable main house. Passengers will sense the hustle and bustle of Carson, Mrs Hughes and Mrs Patmore below stairs and can imagine the Dowager Countess and her long-term sparring partner, Isobel Crawley, arriving for supper in one of the Abbey’s numerous vintage automobiles.

After flying over beautiful English countryside, the return to Battersea in London will include a bird’s-eye tour of some of London’s most iconic sights including Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, Shakespeare’s Globe, the Tower of London, the Shard and many more.

With a flight time of over an hour, the price for experiencing Downton Abbey from the air on this deluxe package from the London Helicopter is £2,500, providing exclusive hire of the helicopter for up to six passengers. There’s no dress code for flights, but costumes are welcome!
