We’re delighted to reveal that we were awarded Silver in the Best Consumer Holiday Magazine category in last night’s British Travel Awards.
BRITAIN magazine had success at the ‘Oscars of the travel industry’ last night, taking home Silver in the Best Consumer Holiday Magazine Category at the British Travel Awards 2015. The awards, which are voted for by you, our readers, bring together the best of the British travel industry and it is an honour that so many of you voted for us.
Editor Sally Coffey said: “We’re delighted to have been awarded Silver in the Best Holiday Consumer Magazine category at this year’s British Travel Awards. It’s great to know that our brand of travel features infused with elements of history, heritage, culture and style are so well received by our loyal readers, who tell us time and again how much they love what we’re doing.”
There were 75 categories in the British Travel Awards 2015 and when voting closed at the end of September over 1.2m votes had been cast.
British Travel Awards’ chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: “More than a quarter of a million consumers voted this year to determine the winners of the 2015 British Travel Awards – it’s the largest awards programme in the UK and to win is a clear statement that companies are providing excellence in travel to the discerning consumer. The travelling public regard the British Travel Awards winners logo as the benchmark for excellence when it comes to finding out who are the best travel companies and BRITAIN is to be congratulated on their achievement.”
