novelGrosvenor House, the famous JW Marriott
Hotel in Belgravia, has just hosted the official launch of Natasha Solomon’s
second novel, The Novel in the Viola.

Natasha’s first novel, the highly acclaimed
and bestselling Mr Rosemblum’s List,
was inspired by her grandfather’s move from Germany to England just before
WWII. Her second finds its inspiration in her great aunt’s similar escape. With
an astutely drawn picture of England during the war as backdrop, the novel
explores Elise’s struggle to find her place in this new world.

Richard and Judy have already praised the novel, and chosen it as one of their picks for their Summer Book Club. The Times told readers to “prepare to be utterly charmed” by her debut novel, published last year, and this new novel promises to be just as delightful.
The launch took place at Literati, Grosvenor House’s take on the traditional book club. To find out more about upcoming Literati events at Grosvenor House, visit www.grosvenorhouseliterati.co.uk.
