Wild Thyme & Honey is a new boutique country inn in the heart of the Cotswolds. Set on the banks of a peaceful brook in the quintessential village of Ampney Crucis near Cirencester, the inn has 24 beautiful bedrooms. A love letter to Cotswolds living, it is a place to escape to for a taste of the good life and is ideally situated for exploring the pretty villages of Bibury, Burford and Tetbury.
One lucky reader and their guest will win a two-night stay at this Cotswolds retreat, in one of the beautiful Ampney Hills rooms, with idyllic views over the surrounding hills. The bedrooms have been designed to make guests feel right at home, decorated in a calming palette of soft greys, rich creams and tactile textiles, with plenty of Cotswolds stone and timber cladding. Inspired by the honey-coloured stone and the thyme that grows in between, Wild Thyme & Honey is all about letting the outside in and feeling immersed in the Cotswolds.
It sits snugly within The Crown at Ampney Brook, a cosy village pub and dining room which has been lovingly restored from the 16th-century inn. Roaring fires, squishy leather sofas and comfy lounge chairs create a warm and inviting atmosphere whether you come for a quick drink with friends or dinner at the chef’s table. Our winner and their guest will enjoy dinner on one night of their stay, choosing from a farm-to-table menu that rolls with the seasons – making the most of the centuries-old farms and local suppliers to source the best-quality meat, fish and veg.
There are also three ‘igloo’ glass domes on the riverside terrace – the perfect setting for occasion dining in every season.

Closing date for entries is 12pm GMT 20 March 2023. The prize is for two people sharing an Ampney Hills room for two nights, daily breakfast and one dinner for two people (excluding alcoholic beverages). Stay is subject to availability, must be taken within 12 months from the date of contact and is valid for stays excluding Fridays and Saturdays, bank holidays and the festive period. The prize is not transferable.
