Spoiler alert: these images from the new series of everybody’s favourite period drama may hint at some of the plot twists, but we promise not to divulge details
This Sunday it’s back – at least for UK viewers*. The fifth series of Julian Fellowes’ much-loved TV series, Downton Abbey, which is filmed at Highclere Castle in Berkshire, will premiere on ITV on Sunday 21 September at 9pm. We’re sure you’re pretty excited but to stoke your excitement even further, here are some photos from the new series to give you an inkling of some of the stories that may unfold.
