Wiltshire

Known for its sprawling valleys and the ancient monument of Stonehenge, Wiltshire is also famous for the Cherhill White Horse that is carved into the hillside outside of Calne. The area abounds with archaeological history, and includes the Neolithic henge of Avebury as well as other World Heritage sites. The county is also home to Salisbury Cathedral and another treasure is the Palladian gem of Lydiard House and Park in Swindon.
