THE YORK Theatre Royal and National Railway Museum’s award-winning production of The Railway Children is being staged in a unique theatre setting in York’s famous railway museum. 

THE YORK Theatre Royal and National Railway Museum’s award-winning production of The Railway Children is being staged in a unique theatre setting in the museum, that allows the audience to sit on station platforms either side of a real rail track. From 23 July to 5 September, you can join Bobby, Peter and Phyllis as they tell the story of how they became the stars of one the country’s best loved novels. The play features the Stirling Single, a beautiful 60-tonne steam locomotive, in one of the most breathtaking theatrical events York has ever seen.
