HM The Queen turned 90 years old on April 21 and today sees the first of the official celebrations get underway.

Her Majesty’s 90th Birthday Party will be a celebration of the Queen’s life, her love of horses, her dedication to the Commonwealth and international affairs and her deep involvement with the Navy, Army and Air Force taking place over fours night in Windsor Great Park.

Over 90 minutes each night, 900 horses and more than 1,500 participants from around the United Kingdom and the world will create an event fit for a Queen. The events will take the audience through a 90-year journey from the excitement of the birth, through to Second World War, her marriage, the coronation and a reign of more than 60 years, using horses, actors, bands and dancers to tell the story, along with the latest technology — video projection, LED effects and theatrical lighting to create a stunning spectacular.

Each night a member of the Royal Family will be in attendance, with the HM the Queen in joining the celebrations on the final night.

But don’t despair if you’ve missed out on tickets, the final night’s event is set to broadcast live on ITV in the UK.
