HM Queen Elizabeth II became the first monarch since the 18th century to attend a Cabinet meeting at 10 Downing Street. It was a special visit to mark Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee
Wearing a deep blue coat and matching dress by Stuart Parvin (immediately dubbed “Thatcheresque”), The Queen was met by Prime Minister David Cameron on the steps of Number 10 this morning.
Cabinet members clubbed together to buy her a gift to mark her 60-year reign – a set of 60 placemats each with an image of Buckingham Palace. The mats were created by Gloucestershire company, Lady Clare Limited.
