Britain photographer Derek Forss will be running his popular photography courses throughout 2010. So if you fancy capturing some of Britain’s best landscapes, from the Lake District to the Yorkshire Dales, book your place now…
If you read our feature on the Peak District in the Dec/Jan issue of BRITAIN magazine, you will know just how beautiful areas such as Dovedale are. Now add to this Malhamdale in the Yorkshire Dales and Derwent Bank in the Lake District and you have some of Britain’s most scenic spots and they are all on photographer Derek Forss’ 2010 course itinerary.
BRITAIN magazine recently joined Derek and a group of other photography enthusiasts on his HF Holidays ‘Discovering Digital Photography’ course in North Wales’ Snowdonia National Park, so we can recommend first hand just what a great experience this is. Not only do you get to explore the country’s beautiful landscapes, you get daily tuition from Derek, the chance to present your work (slightly nerve wracking actually), transport, accommodation and all meals.
Regular BRITAIN readers will know that Derek has been a contributor to the magazine for many years but his career in photography dates back to 1959 with the purcase of an Agfa Silette camera. Seventeen years later he got his first SLR camera and in 1979 turned professional. Today he has more than 100,000 images of the British Isles and has written many books including Around Britain with a Camera and Landscape, Searching for Infinity
Highlights of his 2010 HF Holidays course calendar include: Discovering Digital Photography (5-8 Mar Malhamdale, Yorkshire Dales); Wainwright Fells in Camera (12-19 Jun Derwent Bank, Lake District); Around Britain with a Camera (29 Sep-2 Oct Selworthy, Exmoor) and Advanced Digital Photography Workshop (15-18 Oct Whitby, North Yorkshire).
