An iconic brasserie brand that first launched opened in 1975, and had branches all over London has now been condensed into one slick, smart restaurant in the heart of the City of London.
Iconic Chez Gérard has reopened its doors in Bishopsgate in East London after a revamp, with a slick ground floor bar and a formal restaurant upstairs.
The cocktails are first rate – especially the Elderflower Collins – and Chez Gérard’s trademark steak frites are still all they were cracked up to be; with tender chargrilled meat, and fries that are as moreish as you would expect.
Now open from 7:30am, you can even get a full English breakfast to set you up for the day.
Expect to see plenty of suits – but for a true taste of the bustle of London’s financial hub – look no further.
