See the closing ceremony in style with a stay at one of London’s top hotels

The Ritz London

Patriots and sports fans everywhere are awash with Olympic fever as the closing ceremony draws closer. To mark this momentous occasion and celebrate what has unquestionably been an unforgettable fortnight, why not treat yourself an equally memorable stay at one of London’s luxurious hotels.

The Penthouse Suite at 45 Park Lane

The Ritz, probably London’s most famous hotel, has launched a special closing ceremony accommodation programme. With an enviable location in the heart of London and patriot decorations igniting the Olympic spirit, The Ritz is the perfect place to celebrate the nation’s success. Priced from £445 (excluding VAT), the closing ceremony programme includes one night’s accommodation in a sumptuous Louis VXI-inspired guestroom, dinner for two in The Ritz Restaurant, and English breakfast the following morning.

At 45 Park Lane, the latest hotel in the Dorchester Collection, you can enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the Olympic city from the 1,830 square foot Penthouse Suite with wraparound terrace. But even if this is a little outside your budget, with just 45 rooms and suites, each guest bedroom at the cool and contemporary hotel has a view overlooking Hyde Park. Their Summer in the City package includes: English breakfast, one night’s accommodation with upgrade upon arrival  subject to availability and a 10 per cent reduction at The Dorchester Spa, all from £395.

Suite at the Zetter Townhouse

Within a few miles of the Olympic Park, some of East London’s trendiest boutique hotels are surrounded by the capital’s most exciting bars, restaurants, shops and galleries so you can let your hair down without having to worry about travelling across the city.  Our favourite is the Zetter Townhouse in fashionable Clerkenwell, an estimated 17 minutes from the Olympic Park. It has 13 rooms and suites furnished in traditional style with a twist. They also have an offer on until 9 September with rates from £129.50+vat including cooked breakfast.
