Did you know you can stay at Hever Castle? Enter our competition for your chance to win an overnight stay for two, plus tickets to the castle and gardens.
We’ve teamed up with Hever Castle & Gardens to offer one lucky reader and their guest the chance to win an overnight stay in Hever Castle’s B&B in the grounds of Anne Boleyn’s childhood home, in the pretty Kent countryside.
The stunning five-star B&B accommodation is located across both the Astor Wing and the Anne Boleyn Wing of Hever Castle – an Edwardian wing attached to the castle. The winner and their guest will stay in a feature double room and can fill up on a delicious full English or Continental breakfast in the morning.
All of the bedrooms are en suite and individually styled, with some offering four-poster beds, roll-top baths or walk-in showers. All rooms blend modern-day comforts with antique furnishings and original features and some have castle views.
As well as enjoying an overnight stay and breakfast, the winner will also be given access to the castle and gardens during opening hours on the day of arrival and the day of departure. In addition, guests can enjoy access to some parts of the gardens out of hours.
If the winner’s stay is booked on days when the castle and gardens are closed to the public, then a private guided tour of the castle will be offered on the morning of the day of departure.
Guests can experience 700 years of history at the romantic double-moated castle, as well as 125 acres of award-winning gardens. There is plenty to discover in the grounds, including the Water Maze (fun for all ages) and the 100-year-old Yew Maze – how long will it take you to get out?
The splendid rooms within the castle contain fine furniture, tapestries, antiques, an important collection of Tudor paintings and two prayer books inscribed by Anne Boleyn herself.
As well as the historic castle and stunning grounds, Hever also boasts a unique collection of miniature model houses, accessed through the Hever Shop, which illustrate the evolution of country houses from Tudor to Victorian times.
