Set in the heart of Wensleydale, in Yorkshire, in the picturesque village of Bainbridge, Yorebridge House was created by owners Dave and Charlotte Reilly, who converted the local Grade II listed Old School and Headmaster’s House, dating from 1850, into a chic country house.

BRITAIN readers can enter our competition for the chance to win a mid-week, two-night stay at Yorebridge House for two people, with dinner on both nights and bed and breakfast.

In addition, the lucky winners will receive Champagne and treats on arrival, plus a luxurious Champagne hamper to take away with them on the last day.

Having only opened its doors in 2008, Yorebridge House has quickly built up an impressive reputation as an award-winning AA 5-star restaurant with 11 rooms boasting elegant interiors and a warm, intimate atmosphere. The hotel’s latest prestigious award put it in the top ranking of the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards for Luxury and Romance.

Each of the bedrooms have been inspired by Dave and Charlotte’s travels, with furniture and fittings sourced from around the world.

Rooms vary from the contemporary loft suite, Greenwich, with a separate lounge, cinema screen and double baths overlooking the Dales, to the oriental Nishiki with sumptuous decor and a four-poster bed. Each of the bedrooms has stunning panoramic views and some even come with their own hot tub and terrace. The hotel also offers two charming self-catering options in The Cottage and The Barn, a short walk away through the quaint village.

And for those keen to indulge in that most British of traditions, afternoon tea is served in the newly opened Garden Room, which has uninterrupted views of the Dales and the River Ure, which tumbles past the hotel.
