Chester

Founded by the Romans in 70D as Deva Victrix, the historical city of Chester is one of the best preserved wall cities in Britain. The famous Rows are laden black and white timber properties, though most are actually Victorian restorations. Of the few medieval buildings that remain, Chester Castle is by far the most important structure- particularly the Agricola Tower. However, Roman artifacts are still being discovered within the city.
