IN BRITAIN, we consider gardening to be an art form rather than a pastime. And being in the countryside (or 'great outdoors' as we call it) is the only way to inspire the soul.

Garden design has been an important feature of British culture for centuries, and with distinct seasons and ample rainfall our climate is perfect for ensuring lush green and flourishing foliage.

Most stately homes, manor houses and historic buildings are surrounded by vast grounds and superbly maintained gardens. Great care is always taken to ensure gardens are kept in splendid condition and flourishing all year round. Come along and enjoy the smells, colours and designs - just try not to lose yourself in one of the mazes!

Parks are also an intrinsic part of British life. A Sunday stroll around the green is almost compulsory among natives – songs have even been written about our so-called 'park-life'. Beautiful and expansive parks can be found in every city and are wonderful places to relax and unwind.

And if there's one thing Britain is famous for, it's our stunning countryside and vast areas of natural beauty. We love to enjoy our natural environment and take very good care of it. You’ll find breathtaking nature reserves and national parks all over Britain, giving you a chance to discover the true beauty of Britain - whatever the season.
